Located on a pebble beach just outside of the city's southern wall, this lively beach club offers Dubrovnik's hottest scene for summer tanning and evening entertainment. It's Croatia's own version of the Mediterranean party beach, complete with full-service fusion restaurant (we say skip-it), nightclub, and beach full of rented chairs propped open with buxom tanners. The party gets an early start with the club opening as a morning coffee bar (around 9am), as early tanners head towards the beach around noon. The afternoon party scene is more muted in early summer months and full-on anytime between July and end-of-August. The crowd is always an interesting convergence of Euro-glitteratti like Manchester United players, distant relatives of European monarchies and the prerequisite Russian beauty capturing everyone's attention. Mixed drinks tend to be watered-down interpretations of margaritas and daiquiris, so opt for something in a bottle (Moet Chandon or Corona).

Evening parties get started well past midnight, so don’t arrive too early or you’ll be helping the staff set-up the place.

What makes this Croatian resort so different is it’s eye-pooping views of the walled city, that are almost swimable in distance if not for the steady sea traffic of fisherman and pleasure boats. The staff is exceptionally mannered and will more than help getting a loungers or freestanding cabana providing a decent-sized tip. Keep in mind the low-wages of this fledgling economy and always tip well - 20% - as if in your own country.
