nightlife

Along a rocky outcropping that intersects the city walls on the south side of Dubrovnik, Buza is an all-day café that many consider the best spot to take-in evening cocktails with a sunset view. A transitory décor given the seasonal nature of this café spot, that would be literally blown away if it were January or February, is arranged in simple metal chairs that sit under a bamboo awning facing the Adriatic. An amusing sort of locals and camera-packing tourists taking in the various stops along the fortress town offers one of the city's best evening happy hours with quirky collection of snacks and intricate cocktails served by a chatty and fun staff.

Tips

Just down from the main café deck is access to a swimming spot just offshore that’s just about as pretty as you can find.

Last Word

While there are no DJs blaring techno lounge anthems even on the busiest of summer weekends, there are the occasional holiday folk singers that’s more enjoyed by locals than finicky visitors
