Fall’s Hottest Hotel Openings

September 30, 2013 08.21 PM

Summer may be over, but the arrival of fall brings with it an ambitious line-up of hotel openings from the Maldives to Miami. In Florida, look for Como Hotels to debut Metropolitan Miami Beach this December with the first-ever American outpost of their Como Shambhala Spa. Chicago alas gets its installment of Thompson Hotels with destination eatery called Nico. In LA, we eagerly await the arrival of Ace Hotel Downtown while 90-minutes away in Palm Springs the Sparrows Hotel beckons with flannel barnyard-feel in the city’s South end.

In London, Rosewood prepares to become the most luxurious hotel in Covent Garden while EDITION is two weeks old and already a big success in Fitzrovia. JK Hotels is now accepting its first guests in Rome while GHM Hotels will debut its first in a series of European outposts of The Chedi early December in Switzerland’s Andermatt. In Sydney, the owners of 8 Hotels unveil 1888 Hotel in suburban Pyrmont. Aman Resorts has unveiled the brand’s first property in Vietnam’s Ninh Thuan Province and Como Hotels will unwrap its Point Yamu designed by Italian designer Paola Navon in Phuket next month. And maybe the fairest hotel opening of all this fall, LVMH’s Cheval Blanc Randheli opens early December in Noonu Atoll in the northern waters of the Maldives.
