Unlike in the US or even Northern Europe, many of Istanbul's top nightclubs are also competent dining destinations in their own right. While winters are slow with random closings and crowds sometimes colder than the actual weather, summer sizzles as the city moves to the water and its plethora of high-end supper clubs and eateries that line the banks of the Bosporus. Sortie has the feel of a Turkish boutique hotel perched on a regal bluff with jetliner views offering an all-white design, eccentric modernist details and well-designed bar. Food ranges from traditional Turkish to sushi and sashimi that won't give you a disco gut before hitting the adjacent nightclub. Around 12am is when the DJs turn the entire space into a massive dance club under a canopied dance floor blaring contemporary house and hip-pop music.

Open throughout the week, the hottest nights are Friday and Saturday when a show-off crowd of single ladies and couples show-up for dinner around 11pm along one of the terrace-level eateries.
