In a charming space in Paris's Saint Germain des Pres, William Ledeuil of popular Ze Kitchen Galerie debuts new KGB, also known as Kitchen Galerie Bis. Aimed to be a more causal dining room of the fancier original, the restaurant created such a whirlwind in the local dining scene that it's almost usurped the popularity of the original mothership. Why so popular? A slightly cheaper, less fussy, Asian-inspired French bistro located within a pristine space of high-ceilings, glass-paneled facade and art-strewn walls that lead a cheery tone through miraculous, cutting-edge meals.

The Food

Dinner begins with a selection of seasonal appetizers including crispy panko-coated shrimp-and chicken croquette, white bean soup with galangal, Wagyu beef tartare and mushroom-stuffed ravioli. Main course is a mix and mash of homemade pastas with exaggerated fillings like nettles followed by slow-braised pork ribs and heartier meat and poultry dishes.
