A joint partnership between Giuseppe Cipriani and designer David Tang, this familiar membership dining room for Cipriani regulars is defined by glossy burl wood, Murano chandeliers and limestone floors. Towering ceilings frame a more imaginative décor inspired by David Tang with ornate deco mural, patterned upholstery mixed with Cipriani’s ubiquitous banker chairs and glamorous drinking bar filled with some of the chicest characters on the Hong Kong social scene.
The Food
With subtle variations by location, Cipriani Hong Kong offers a well orchestrated dining experience of beef carpaccio alla Cipriani with variations of salmon, tuna and octopus in addition to a selection of tartar. Seasonal salads are rather forgettable aside from the arugala parmasean and best skipped in lieu of a pasta course with variations like baked white tagliolini, risotto alla primavera, green tagliolini with sea urchin and tagliardi with veal ragu. Main courses of miso Chilean sea bass, veal piccata, red snapper with tomato and beef tenderloin alla Perigourdine are all worthy options.
