Along the cramped corridors of inner Mykonos, a secret passageway leads to this garden eatery cast within an exquisite open-air dining room. Best at night, the space comes alive with its cinematic lighting that accents mature pine trees, white wooden awning and architectural succulents that seem to explode out of the roofline. Diners choose between a center dining room and more comfy banquette, all penned by designer Paola Navone, that strides the perimeter of the bar and lounge. Not for early birds, the restaurant doesn't even begin to perk with life until 11pm before becoming a full-on dance lounge at 2am on most summer evenings.
The Food
A Mediterranean menu rooted in seasonal ingredients begins with a great beef tartare with truffle and parmesan, King Crab in avocado and mango or octopus carpaccio on bed of mixed greens. The goat’s cheese and traditional Greek salad were the best options especially for the sizeable mains that follow including Chateaubriand for two, crispy chicken in yogurt, lobster burger with beetroot chips and saffron lasagna with shrimp.
