A short walk from Capri's piazzetta comes the latest culinary foreground for chef Gennaro Esposito known for his epic Vico Equense eatery on the north side of Sorrento. In Capri it's far more of a fashion affair for the star chef, in a newly designed dining room echoed in creamy linens and mostly-white décor among an open terrace overlooking the sea. Notes of the Italian countryside can be found on light fixtures suspended with heavy rope, antique buffet consoles and chalkboard menu of daily specials.
The Food
With formal restaurant and more casual neighboring pizzeria, look for chef Esposito’s incredible Mediterranean cuisine narrated through grilled octopus appetizer, fried fritto misto, tuna tartare and tagliatelle with broccoli and crispy seaweed. Look for ingredients like cuttlefish, uni and homemade sausages followed by daily fish specials and grilled meats with elaborate, feel-good sides.
