Occupying a 19th Century building along Main Street Park City, Zoom is located in what was once the lobby and ticketing offices of Union Pacific Railroad. The two-story Victorian-style structure features off-white paneled façade with intricate stonework, carved shingles and secluded patio for summer dining. Recently renovated by owner Robert Redford, the main dining room is laid in distressed hardwood floor with high-ceiling and earth tone granite walls displaying historic black-and-white photographs. The first-floor features intimate booths as well as circular tabletops under aged-brass chandeliers filling the center of the room. A separate upstairs dining room is available for private parties and special events.
The Food
Executive chef Brian Prusse presents a refined American menu incorporating local organic produce and sustainable cuisine available throughout the day. Lunch is a fun feast of comfy food including appetizer of buffalo onion rings, seafood ceviche and Jalapeno crap-dip with crunchy crostini. An expected array of salads includes a classic Caesar spruced-up with grilled shrimp or baby spinach with Gorgonzola. Fish tacos and a two-handed burger are just as fulfilling as popular entrees like the Double Ranch Ribs and five cheese ravioli served in a creamy tomato sauce. Dessert is massive presentation of molten chocolate cake, apple cranberry crisp and pumpkin mousse parfait served with gingersnaps.
Last Word
Think upscale TGIF’s or even Houstons. Redford’s most pedestrian culinary debut to date is part of the Sundance Resort family of restaurants, which includes the more-impressive Tree Room and Foundry Grill at the Sundance Resort.
