One of the two star restaurants in Costa Careyes, Cocodrilo Azul is a weekend-only playground located on the northside of the town along a magical cobblestone road. A thatch roof compound sits on a prime piece of beachfront with indoor/outdoor dining room and magical terrace that features dramatic bonfires during high-season. The interior dining room is alit in candlelight most nights with late-weekend dining scene that morphs into a midnight party of residents and their in-the-know visitors.
The Food
An Eastern inspired menu of Japanese and sushi specialties utilized locally sourced seafood and ingredients for hearty and sharable platter of sashimi and cut rolls. More traditional entrees are also offered with touches of Southeast Asian and Chinese culinary prowess that makes for a good weekend dining option for those in Carayes.

Only open on the weekends from December through April, Cocodrilo Azul is one of the main dining stomping grounds in Careyes and one of the very favorites of locals.
