It's exactly what the Mykonos food scene needed, namely a casual Italian gourmet with wood-fire oven that's waling distance from everywhere in the village. Alas there's Marechiaro, constructed within a series of stacked-stone maisonettes with open-air terrace and bar that's a mix of Aegean and Sicilian style. Formerly home to Gola, the outdoor terrace in lined in eclectic metal and wood chairs with architectural pergola that allows for daytime dining in addition to late-night noshes. The only gourmet pizza spot in the Cyclades, Marechiaro is a hit.
