Even bad restaurants can last a lifetime in Las Vegas, but Le Cirque is truly one of the city's best Italian dining rooms. A remnant of the original Steve Wynn days at the Bellagio, the famed businessman brought Sirio Maccioni to duplicate his NYC eatery in a restaurant model that has since defined the Vegas culinary scene. The dining room has survived the test of time, a mix of Venetian masquerade and ethereal circus captured under a marquee ceiling design by Adam D. Tihany with colorful booths of emerald green and velvet red striping. A separate bar captures overflow diners in addition to a dressy happy hour that's still one of the chicest in town.
The Food
Pre-theater, Digestion and ala carte menus begin with Le Cirque’s signature lobster salad with black truffle vinaigrette, terrine or sauteed foie gras and sea urchin capellini. Main course includes milk-fed veal loin with cheese-crusted endive, Wagyu tenderloin with truffle pommes frites or butter-poached Maine lobster with Osetra caviar.
Last Word
The celeb chef restaurant that started it all still rules the Vegas culinary scene more than a decade later.
