Cena Ristorante is situated within a cheery space within The Chateau at Silver Lake offering a destination dining room with brasserie flair. Wood paneled walls and low ceiling encrusted with knotty beams lend an element of Northern Italian design to the one-room space that offers one of the best casual Italian dining experiences in town even if the vibe won’t win any style awards.
The Food
Executive chef Chris Wellmon flaunts a Northern Italian menu that begins with fried clams in a spicy yellow sauce, roasted pepper crostini and salumi board with truffle honey drizzle. A wood-fore oven crisps pizzettas like the prosciutto asparagus and mushroom peperoni to perfection with complimenting arugula or Caesar salads. Pasta course dabbles in baked penne with sausage, spinach-artichoke ravioli and linguini with mussels best as an appetizer or shared before main courses of roasted salmon, seared scallops with squash blossoms and grilled rib eye.
