The original Please Don't Tell Bar is a New York City classic, now the concept has expanded for the first time to a new Hong Kong location. Keeping with the original theme, the entrance is playfully discreet: behind a phony telephone booth facade in the lobby of the Landmark Hotel. Guests enjoy intimate privacy, a distinctive interior and world class cocktails, with an appealing and tasty bar menu thrown in for good measure. The interior is cozy and stylish. Exposed brick walls and bare wood ceilings provide a natural look that is comfy. Spacious leather booths feature comfortable seating and high walls for added privacy. PDT is rightfully famous for its signature cocktail creations and the Hong Kong location adds several new ones. The Big Fan is a tangy shandy with an aromatic pomelo “fan,” while the Big Hunter blends whisky, champagne and longan, a local fruit.

The food is several cuts above the usual bar fare. Free range pork and chicken dishes are savory and hearty. Several high end hot dogs offer a taste of American comfort food with a little twist, like the Hong Kong Dog with pork sausage, cabbage, shrimp and scallions. Finger foods and sharing plates include gourmet tater tots and fries.
