A prohibition-era speakeasy in a city where alcohol has always been poured from a liberal tab, Frank’s Bar aims to create the taboo in the form of an underground drinking scene in Palermo Hollywood. The space mixes ‘20s flapper decadence through striped walls dotted with baroque mirrors and Victorian-era lighting juxtaposing deeper architectural elements of exposed brick walls and gritty cobbled floors. Staff presides over a mahogany bar with endless selection of spirits mixed by bartenders in buttoned-up white shirts and bow ties. Nightly entertainment includes rotating lounge DJs and live music from a mix of local bands and revival acts.
Tips
The two-story space also includes an on-site novelties shop meant for adult’s only.
