Likely to be the hippest bar in Wynwood for sometime to come, Wood Tavern is located within an indiscriminate corner storefront with simple black-and-white awning and quaff logo of masked 17th Century bourgeoisie that conceals the arty debauchery within. Known as a bar's bar that promises to keep things laid back and local, visitors arrive to a hipster sanctuary of staked reclaimed wood paneling and plaid-covered walls that contrast the numerous plaid-wearing locals that detest the South Beach scene and would prefer to keep the surrounding area as edgy as possible. Sadly, however, Wynwood is Miami's own version of Soho and ground zero for Art Basel's outdoor soirees and flagship galleries that now replace the numerous liquor stores and Laundromats that once dominated the area.
Tips
Wood Tavern brings cool and hip lounge bar to Wynwood that promises to still be approachable with not a single $15 mixed cocktail even after it’s a hotspot.
