Situated along Via Tragara, one of the most exclusive streets in Capri, La Scalinatella is a romantic hotel offering guests a boutique atmosphere of tailored elegance walking distance to the town square. Behind a row of hedges, the white hotel presides over commanding views of the Mediterranean and iconic Faraglioni. Hand painted tiles and antique collectibles bring a comfortable harmony to the hotel lobby, in between guests lost within awed stares of some of the most beautiful views in Capri. The sister hotel of the Casa Morgano, La Scalinatella is the larger more exclusive relative of the two that has steadily increased in popularity over the years to become our favorite Capri hotel. The property includes a decadent pool, full service restaurant and tennis courts located within walking distance. Preferable in location over the Quisi simply for the views and residential setting, La Scalinatella and Via Tragara can feel a bit detached from village life during off-months and in early season.
The Room
Oversize guest rooms offer garden or sea views with expansive balconies and patios. Most rooms feature a separate living and sleeping area in addition to amply sized bathrooms with shower/tub combination and bidet. La Scalinatella features two deluxe suites, Suite 43 and Apartment 56, well suited for longer stays and those looking to stay out of the public eye. Discounts are available for longer stays and last minute weekends during the off-season.
