For those unfamiliar with Maisons and Hôtels Sibuet, the French family-owned hotelier operates polished, boutique-minded 5-star properties in the French Alps, Lyon, Provence, and along the French Riviera where the first Villa Marie opened in 2005. Now, the posh brand arrives to Saint-Barth overlooking Flamands Beach on a hillside above Colombier. Recreating a countryside bohemia of colonial design, indigenous food and preening spa, the property incorporates a plantation style compound of cottage-style rooms, swimming pool,François Plantation eatery and rum bar that curates traditional local cuisine under a ceiling of mahogany fans. Interiors mix a polished South of France sophistication ala Cote Sud with found seashells and corals mixed against sun-bleached woods and hand-woven accents.

A total of 22 bungalows and 2 villas with names like Parrot Blue, Pineapples and Jungle Passion dot the resort. Each offers distinguishing, bespoke touches like deep turquoise decor, bougainvillea pink pillows, bright sky blue blankets, and canary yellow throws that splash elements of Caribbean color against stark white walls. Design details like canopy beds, rattan headboards and custom created pearl furniture pieces lend a further boho feel. Larger family-minded bungalows offer private verandas and terraces, surrounded by exotic greenery, and overlooking Flamands Bay while even-larger Villas feature private pools and 2-bedroom layout.
