For those not privy to their own yacht or well-organized advance reservation at Cala di Volpe, Grand Hotel offers platinum beachfront real estate and sprawling resort complex in central Porto Cervo. Guests arrive to an ornate but dated lobby that mixes Venetian plaster walls with rustic beam ceiling and terracotta floors. Architecture mixes old world elements like tile roof and plaster archways on the façade with floor-to-ceiling windows and doorways that lead to an incredible resort deck that makes up for somewhat of the lackluster interiors. Off the lobby is the Bar Hall with its pub-style, family-minded atmosphere as well as La Terazza restaurant that offers a delightful seafood menu, available as a half-board option for hotel guests, from a covered dining room facing one of the Costa Smeralda's prettier white sand beaches.
