From those unfamiliar with Alan Yau, he's a London restaurateur behind such successful brands as Hakkasan. In Monaco, the starry chef finds a new inspiration for modern Chinese cuisine within a glamorous dining room penned by Humbert & Poyet. Walls of dark wood paneling with gold detailing and inlaid mirrors lend a deco feel to zigzag marble floors grand martini bar. Emerald green upholstery and mid-century inspired décor play well with the more whimsical geometric details on brass lighting fixtures and modest monochromatic tableware.
The Food
Open nightly for dinner and seasonally for summertime lunch, a mix of small plate appetizers include squid and green mango or langoustine salad, homemade dim sum, Lamien noodles with caviar and impressive rendition of Singapore vermicelli.
