Well beyond the scene of Nammos as well as both Paradises and Elia is the beach of Kalo Livadi on the southeastern shore of Mykonos. Located on a pristine strip of golden sand, this beach club eatery is literally constructed on the sea within a thatch covered dining room with Tiki-style beach club of residential island revelers and those that can't be bothered with the more touristy scenes closer to town. Named after the Spanish words for sun and sea, a more tropical design aesthetic prevails within an open air dining room decorated in muted pastel wooden chairs, fluffy banquettes and colorful ceiling fans that spin a gentile breeze amongst lounge anthems and lively afternoon bar scene.
The Food
An all-day menu offers flavors of the beach and sea with Greek salads garnished with unusual twist of watermelon and feta followed by grape leaves stuffed with crab or zucchini flowers with mint. Mains include grilled crab claws, fresh lobster, Argentine beef and whole fish that guests pick by had or classic pasta dishes topped with shrimp medley.
Last Word
Classic Aegean beach club with on-site seafood eatery that is one of the most popular on the island.
