It's the summer pop-up restaurants to beat them all, namely the seasonal eatery located within Christian Dior's resort flagship where 3-star Michelin chef Yannick Alléno presides over a quaff garden space of billionaire housewives and fashion elite that's the chicest lunch currently found in the Siant Tropez village. Part of a three-story compound along the Place des Lices, Dior interiors are designed by Peter Marino who also penned their Paris headquarters along Avenue Montaigne. The design mixes a gilded 18th Century design and white architectural elements with original terracotta floors, marble hearths and oversize picture windows facing the garden dining space designed by Peter Wirtz.
The Food
Not the first pairing of LVMH-owned Dior and 3-star Michelin chef Yannick Alléno, he also presides over the dining room of Cheval Blanc in Courchevel also owned by LVMH. Aiming to a create a quintessential summer menu ideal for a Saint-Tropez garden setting sourced from area farms and food purveyors, the result is an all day menu of calissons in a variety of foie gras, melon gelée, tomato-citrus and basil, summer vegetables and zucchini with almond mousse variations. Dishes are served on impeccable Dior bone china with standout tomato salads, pressed sandwiches and grilled entrees that dazzle in their typical Alléno simplicity.
