Soho House arrives to Barcelona within a 19th century compound in Port Vell, close to the city's Gothic District. Part member's club and part hotel, Soho House lures its posh international clientele to a 6-story structure offering ground-level Cecconi's eatery, club lounge, rooftop pool, Cowshed Spa and 30-seat theater. A period glass atrium lines the center of the property, infused with ubiquitous retro-country decor now typical of all Soho House locations.
The Room
Branching out to less obvious urban markets like Istanbul, Toronto and now Barcelona, The Soho House brings its membership cache to a mixed-use hotel and private club unique in the Catalan capital. While its a tough market to enter given posh outposts of Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental and numerous boutique brands, Soho House does a marvelous medley of 60-guest rooms featuring a mix of small, medium and large categories with varying views of Port Vell Marina and Plaza Medinaceli. Interiors are what we have come to expect of hotels by Soho House including eclectic decor, lavish mini-bars, wood floors and open-plan bathrooms lined in Cowshed bath products.
