Luxury Resort

The first European resort flagship by the Mandarin Oriental brand finds its way to Paradise Bay in the north of the Bodrum peninsula. Close to Göltürkbüku but a 20-minute drive from Bodrum itself, the property is a hotel and residential development that includes a series of private apartments and villas in addition to a 109-room hotel. Along a forested hilltop overlooking the Aegean, minimalist architecture incorporates local, regional materials like native stacked stone and quarried rock for gorgeous silhouettes and dramatic resort spaces that include two private beaches, infinity edge pool and beach club. Interiors are curated by Milanese designer Antonio Citterio that’s no newcomer to the brand’s other properties. A total of ten restaurants include a formal Italian and Turkish dinning room as well as beach club with all-day dining and cocktail lounge that doubles as a DJ lounge after 11pm on weekends. Competing with showy outposts by Aman and Kempinski that are also in the area, MO brings a massive 30,000-sqaure foot spa facility with variety of fitness, spa and wellness program that can also be curated to individual stays.

The Room

A total of 109 guestrooms and suites include some of the largest entry-level accommodations in Bodrum with sizes that stat just over 740-sqaure feet. Framed by walls of glass, open architecture is arranged in wide-plank hardwood floors that flow into large sun-decks, terraces and balconies with larger suites offering private gardens and infinity edged pools. Interiors mix a modern but not overly trendy décor with local hand-woven Turkish rugs, handwoven leather headboards and well-planned valet closet and Nepresso espresso bars. Bathrooms are outfitted in large rain showers and separate oversize bathtubs adorned in Aqua di Parma toiletries. Top-of-the-line villas come with up to 5-bedrooms and offer inner courtyards and grand outdoor spaces with private pool, shower, sun beds and napping hammock.
