Boutique Hotel
From the owners of Palm Spring's top eatery Cheeky's comes a new downtown design hotel located directly behind their bustling eatery. Once known as the Peppertree Inn, the 34-room property has been revamped as part of a growing desert hospitality concept that is a true business standout in the area managing to thrive and expand through the toughest of business climates. Alas, the eagerly awaited hotel is contained within a garden-style commune of whitewash bungalows with terracotta roofline and bursts of custom ironwork. A one-room reception offers a lone clerk that gives a small walk-through of the property as well as pointing guests to the larger than expected pool surrounded in stylish lounge arrangements.
The Room
Larger than it first appears from its location between Palm Canyon and Indian Canyon directly behind Birba and Cheeky’s, Alcazar offers a series of spare, all-white bedrooms arranged within garden and mountain view guest wings. Crisp lines offer whitewashed wainscoting and beds tucked with premium linens. Walls are adorned with singular artwork of desert landscapes with writing desk and slim wall-mounted LCD screens. Room categories vary between preferable poolside accommodations to larger 2-bedroom suite with furnished terraces.
