Located in a former-cinema complex at Galleria del Corso recreated by French architect Jean Nouvel, Excelsior Milano is equal parts design emporium and micro department store along the lines of such iconic shopping destinations as Harvey Nichols and Barney’s New York. Each floor encompasses a different shopping vignette from the ground floor with its custom perfumerie, outpost of Tiffany and installment of Paris’s Lauderee with its famous macaroons. The men’s floor offers a trove of designers from Balmain and Thom Browne to rare Japanese brands and Italian labels while women’s labels include Rick Owens, Kenzo and Haider Ackermann.
