It's not often that Nobu Matsuhisa debuts a new culinary concept, but that's exactly what's happening inside Badrutt's this winter in St. Moritz. While he's always had an annual pop-up that always occupied the hotel's casual eatery, this year the showy sushi chef gets a designer space and new concept for his prizes resort eatery. Designed by Soho House alum Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the grown-up space offers a far-more bespoke setting of herringbone wood paneling, wingback chairs and pounded-metal bar. Architectural details abound and include a glass dome that frames high-up views of the property's iconic tower.

The Food

A Peruvian-addition on Nobu’s classic Japanese recipes offers signature dishes like tuna one rice, hand rolls and miso cod coupled with innovative newcomers live ceviche, sea bass and lobster dishes that prove Nobu to be the ever-evolving sushi pioneer whether in Malibu or St. Moritz.

Last Word

Originally the space was home to the hotel’s indoor tennis court, now offering the top sushi outpost in the wintery Alps.
