Following on the heels of Michael Schwartz, chef Dena Marino proves the latest darling of the Design District food scene with a sustainable Italian eatery. Cast inside a glassy architectural complex, the interior dining room is surrounded in walls of glass with sheer drapery and tile floors that cocoon a spare space of high banquette and minimalist chairs. Double height ceilings lend an expansive feel that flows into a buzzy bar with Carrera marble top and extensive cocktail list.

The Food

An all-day menu is created on “the basis of quality, harvest maturity and farming integrity.” Brunch means smoked salmon omelets, steak with eggs and Garganelli Bolognese. Appetizers include antipasti of fig pizetta and an-seared scallops followed by Brussels sprouts with black truffle pizza, chilled lobster cobb and panciotti con asparagi e mascarpone. Main course mixes a great burger with a black angus strip and a boneless short-rib to perfection.
