The rounded 1930s façade of Paraje Arévalo occupies a shady corner of Palermo Hollywood in a neighborhood that’s a mix of fashionable artists and media workers. A long frontage of stained glass windows frames the one room eatery with its eclectic mix of white-linen clothed tables, checkerboard floors and chalkboard menus that displays the daily specials. Home-style elements like a marble-topped butcher’s block bar, vintage wine casks and peek-a-boo kitchen juxtapose the altogether serious culinary skills of the master chefs in action.

The Food

Chef/owners Estefanía Di Benedetto and Matias Kyriazis create a gourmet wonderland that’s absolutely void of any gastro-pretense with a dinner-only menu that’s one of the best foodie experiences in modern-day BA. Six to eight course meals begin with an incredible chicken liver parfait of pickled apples, curried almonds and croutons. Deconstructed salads, homemade buratta and fresh pastas meander into heartier mains of grilled Argentine meat and Atlantic seafood specialties that brings new heights to the local gourmet scene.

Last Word

Simple, one-room dining room by former Fat Duck duo proves gourmet wonderland in glamorously spare Palermo Hollywood eatery.
