  • The Scene:

One of the better restaurant options in Marbella's old town, Skina is a stylish but spare dining room that lacks the panache of a beachfront address but makes up for it with stellar cuisine and recently awarded its first Michelin star. Simple, crisp white walls surround a one-room eatery with leather high-back chairs and well-pressed tables cloths adorned with more colorful porcelain plates and crystal glassware. Bold, colorful modern artwork is splashed across walls as an astute staff works the room with white glove service honed over year sin the local culinary industry.

  • The Food:

Opened in 2005, a double chef kitchen led by Victor Trochi and Daniel Rosado offer an impressive ala carte and tasting menu of Spanish and international kitchen. Meals begin with a fig martini with truffle shavings, scallops and beetroot cannelloni and Iberian pork with red butter ice cream. Fish dishes vary between sea bass on eel risotto and wild turbot with spicy carrot while grilled meats include a standout lamb shoulder with asparagus or Moroccan-style duck foie gras.
