Accessed along a dusty unpaved road at Sol den Serra, Ibiza's hottest new beach club was formerly named after the secluded swimming cove its located. Two-story Amante Beach Club is hidden within a grassy dune and rocky outcropping of one of Ibiza's most reclusive beaches. By day it's the sexiest tanning scene on the island, a white sand beach strewn with four-poster loungers with sheer curtains framing an exotic staff dressed in beach creations from Roberto Cavalli that they're not shy about shedding to reveal 8-pack abs. DJ lounge anthems and icy mojitos carry through the afternoon as patrons frolic between the waves and impromptu sand dance floor. Acquired by owner Kellie Ragan in early 2007, the restaurant and beach club have gone through a design exorcism including a renovated dining room with whitewash floors, smooth stucco ceiling and gentile social space popular with Kate Moss and Mario Testino.

The Food

In Burberry bathing suits and Chloe sunglasses, a highbrow clientele of mostly Brits and Germans invade most all of the beach loungers by 11am. Waiters arrive with pitchers of white sangria, magnum of Dom and €60 water in Swarovski crystal-emblazed bottles that seem to invite the obvious St. Tropez comparison. The beach is home to a casual sushi bar offering sashimi lunches served at a traditional Japanese counter or along a furnished terrace also home to an evening bistro serving burgers and gourmet pub grub. As evening sets in, a Shangri-la of candlelight sweeps the main dining room as dinner guests arrive to a menu of seafood specialties like pan-fried tuna with grapefruit reduction, grilled fillet with truffles or grilled sea bass with curried ragout.

Last Word

It’s the hottest destination on Ibiza with exquisite dining room, all-white beach club and evening social scene bringing a bit of bling to Spain’s most celebrated party island. Don't miss Wednesday morning yoga and brunch every week at 8am from mid-June through October.
