It's made quite a splash since opening; this first-ever outpost of Mondrian Hotel nestled inside the former-Sea Containers along London's South Bank. Rumpus Room was designed by it-designer Tom Dixon within a dramatic riverfront rooftop and lounge space with views of the city unrivaled by anyone in town. The style mixes James Bond modernity with Dixon's signature brass and gold poshness that's well suited to the location and style of the Mondrian brand. Evenings offer more of a chill sunset party vibe that transitions to DJ dance bar complete with line at the door and bottle service on weekends.

Arrive before 9pm to avoid weekend crowds and a door worked by one of the pickiest bouncers on the South Bank.

Open from sunset to late night, the bar is divided between a banquette-encrusted lounge with DJs that spin after 10pm in addition to a well-tended cocktail bar overseen by resident mixologist Mr. Lyan T.
