In a former-Michelin Star restaurant space along La Cienega, the creators of Bootsy Bellows double-down on an ambitious supper club and cabaret lounge. Visitors arrive to a swathe of Weho-adjacent real estate and to a valet, doorman, hostess and receptionist that each enquire of your reservation. Inside, a chinois-inspired chalet features lofty ceilings and feminine mix of delicate pattern upholstery and Mad Men décor with sit-at drinking bar under a lofty open ceiling. The space is configured around a center room divided by a main lounge with individual booths surrounded a low-flung lounge area. Evening mix a line-up of incredible musical talent that strums away on an upright piano while singing avante-garde renditions of popular classics until a DJ takes-over on late-weeknights and weekends.
Tips
As for dining, service is so-so with a menu that delivers some great LA dishes like truffle fries, kale chips, burger and burrata meatballs that make up for the lackluster pizza and unfortunate cuts of overcooked steak. While food will probably improve, who really eats in Hollywood anyway?
