Nowhere is the spirit of renewed Palm Spring more alive than the Ace Hotel & Swim Club where days are spent lounging by the pool of tattooed hipsters as DJ Victor Rodriguez spins electro-lounge anthems and a raspy hostess named Linda serenades weekend dinner guests with Judy Garland show tunes. Come 10pm the gas fireplaces that dot the property roar to life and the inner-womb of the property starts to fill up at the Amigo Room.
 
A mix of Wiley Coyote decor and Marlboro Man attitude sits dormant most of the day until late night when a packed house sips Malbecs and Kiwi Caphirinas to vintage Bob Seger in candlelit booths. On the opposite side of the property, indoor/outdoor The Commune is host to special dance parties and private concerts throughout the year.
