  • While many are use to new Mandarin Oriental hotel openings in cities like Las Vegas and New York, prepare yourself for an opening that will outshine most any other. Perhaps the most anticipated opening of the decade in Paris comes along a buzzing strip of rue Saint Honore where Mandarin Oriental Paris makes its home.

In the center of the city's most fashionable shopping district, the Mandarin Oriental, Paris has recruited the most elite of design names to oversee construction of this pedigree property. Patrick Jouin, who designed Jules Verne and Alain Ducasse at Plaza Athenee, pens most the restaurant and bar spaces including signature eatery Sur Measure by 2-star Michelin chef Thierry Marx. The hotel also features casual eatery Camellia and Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop both by Thierry Marx. An grand in-house spa offers an indoor pool lined in architectural cabanas with hammam chaser and well-equipped fitness center.

  • The Room:

Mandarin Oriental Paris is situated on the prestigious rue Saint Honore in a 30s art deco building with 99 rooms and 39 suites conceived by the incredible Sybille de Margerie, designer of LVMH-owned Cheval Blanc. Astute Parisian spaces features chic, contemporary French design with art deco details for a series of 5 five Duplex Suites that will feel like private apartments as well as a Presidential Suite, with private dining, terrace and a city view from one of Paris's best terraces. All rooms feature Bang and Olufsen flat screens TVs with integrated multimedia center and in-room I-Pod sound system.
