Located on a manicured corner of old-town, Main & Sky is a 33-room all-suite condo hotel offering one of Park City's most stylish local properties to date. A surprisingly modern brick façade woven with oversize windows, the resort is located on a suburban-style plaza lined with a few historic buildings. Preserved during renovation, these building now contain upscale Fin restaurant and more-cozy Easy Street Brasserie. The main lobby is more laidback than your typical luxury resort, decorated in a mix of lacquered wood and fluffy leather furnishings. Built as a fractional residence club, guests vary between the usual gamut of paying guests and actual owners. The hotel is home to an impressive fitness center with indoor lap pool and spa with plunge baths, steam rooms, and a Zen-inspired meditation area.
The Room
We like the lobby and assortment of restaurants tucked around the corners of the inner courtyard. But the best part of The Sky Lodge is the rooms. 33-stylish all-suite guest rooms feature entrances ala high-rise coop that lead into cosmo-chic living rooms with chocolaty leather sofas and boldly colored chairs. Plasma screen TVs and Bose surround sound system can entertain Affleck-types during January’s Sundance Film Festival, but try to ignore the Pier One-inspired floral arrangements and purple-pattern pillows. Free-flowing kitchen areas include lacquered cabinets and stainless steel appliances with long granite eating bar. Some rooms offer radiant-heated decks and terraces overlooking Main Street and distant mountainside, as well as a rooftop penthouse with observation deck. Bedrooms feature freestanding king-size beds outfitted in Mascioni pima cotton sheets and Anachini duvet covers. Bathrooms offer decorative basin sinks set atop freestanding cabinets, adjacent to rain showers and the occasional soaking tub.
