Luxury Hotel
One of the grand dames of Saint Tropez hospitality, Villa Belrose has long been included as one of the area's top stays along with Le Byblos and Chateau Messardiere. It's location along Boulevard des CrĂȘtes about 5-minutes from the Port of Saint-Tropez offers a sea-facing address and old world formality conducive to those familiar with mainland Europe's 5-star hotels. A Florentine compound of creamy stucco and elaborate masonry details sits within a pine forest with showy portico lined in Ferrari's and Rolls Royce's. Inside, white wood-paneled walls are accented in full-length mirrors and color palette of muted tones that bring casualness to the otherwise very formal spaces typical this German-based hotelier. Wide expanses of glass open to terraces with some of the best views of the bay from any local hotel, leading to a grassy terrace and pool deck with restaurant and lounge scene. The in-house eatery Le Belrose features chef Thierry Thiercelin through a Mediterranean minded menu of local seasonal specialties that's dinner-only most of the year with Sunday lunch.
The Room
One of the pricier hotel options in Saint Tropez features entry-level single rooms ideal for household staff or younger single travelers. Room categories differ with varying views of the pool, sea and surrounding landscape with airy color platelets of terracotta, creamy whites, pale blues and beiges among elaborate drapery. Select room offer large private terraces as well as a top floor suite with private balcony overlooking the bay. The in-house spa features small fitness area and continental menu of body and facial procedures on par with hotels like Le Byblos and nearby Villa Marie.
