The NoMad Hotel embodies the new wave of luxurious and hip hotels that have excited the Downtown LA travel scene. Occupying the former Bank of Italy building at Giannini Place, The Nomad tempts guests with an abundance of dining and entertainment options, amid urban elegance and splendor that is a destination in its own right.The sprawling property includes multiple dining and drinking areas, including Mezzanine, a posh eatery perched above the lobby, with plush seating and a fine dining dinner-only menu - reservations are required. Lobby is the name of an additional restaurant space that offers less formal dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's also a separate all-hours coffee bar with street access. Giannini Bar is a full service cocktail bar that emphasizes handcrafted, artisan style creations. A rooftop saltwater swimming pool has attractive views of the city and offers opportunities for poolside entertainment day or night.
The Room
Each of the hotel's 241 rooms is lavishly appointed, in seven different formats according to guests' needs. Most rooms feature comfortable freestanding bathtubs, an entertaining nook with in-room bar, and large windows with urban views. Interior appointments also include custom embroidered sofas, hand-dyed rugs and sculptural light features and accents that add distinction and a cozy feel.
