Occupying the famed Sahara that was once the it-hotel of the strip, SLS Las Vegas arrives as a gilded hotel-casino that brings the Hollywood cache of starry eateries by Jose Andres and nightlife brands like Foxtail and Sayers Club. Created by LA developer Sam Nazarian, the SLS Las Vegas is a smaller property by Vegas standards with just 1600 rooms and a location that's closer to downtown that its Cosmopolitan competitor. The design studio of Philippe Starck pens the hotel, his third SLS foray following LA and Miami. Large, airy public spaces lead to more intimate casino floor with signature Starck elements like white Murano chandeliers, imperial wall scenes and living LCD artwork.
The Room
SLS brings its portfolio of successful brand eateries like sushi-minded Kaysuya, Lebanese-inspired Cleo and Bazaar that comes with a meat-theme spin by James Beard award-winning chef Jose Andres. More casual eateries include 800-degrees Pizzeria, Unami Burger and The Griddle Café. The property is home to two pool decks including the larger Foxtail Pool Club planned with 26-cabanas and rotating day parties. Guests should also be aware of the neighboring W Hotel Las Vegas that's also on the property.
