A removed, hedonist oasis nestled 15-minutes from town, Royal Myconian is a cluster of luxury and boutique hotels situated above Elia Beach. A series of six in-house hotels offer varying styles, identities and management including properties represented by Leading Hotels as well as Relais & Chateaux - that represents the Utopia. Fully renovated in 2013, visitors arrive to a private entrance trimmed in native stack stones and panel of glass that leads to the lobby. Elements of earth, water and fire are represented in the décor of marble stone tables, abstract driftwood and post-modern décor that puts a uniquely modern spin on concrete floors and smooth white stucco walls typical of island architecture. A series of cubist structure with flat-top beam ceilings lead to dramatic outdoor spaces lined in cypress and pine tress with coral accents that surround an infinity pool and outdoor café that operates in conjunctions with Pavilion Restaurant - a Relais Chateaux eatery with all-day menu of Mediterranean seafood specialties. For spa lovers, Thalasso Spa Center features a selection of body and facial services with product lines from around the world. Additionally, other properties of the Royal Myconian are just a few steps away and include their own offerings of spas, restaurants and lounges.
The Room
A series of two-story buildings and private villas feature entry-level room categories like the Signature Retreat that offers open-plan living area with floating bathtub of natural stone and indigenous design of environmental décor. Textures of zinc, rope, rattan and driftwood prevail in larger room with private outdoor Jacuzzi or lunge pools creatively arranged on what would otherwise be a full balcony in most hotels. Larger Majestic rooms feature similar locations and dimensions but with separate living and bedrooms. A series of three villas offer 2-5 bedroom configurations with two-floor layout, kitchen and private pools.
