Boutique Hotel
Behind the glossy façade of a period building that once welcomed local poets and artists in lieu of Dollar yielding tourists, Legado Mitico stands as one of Buenos Aires best boutique hotels in one of its trendiest neighborhoods. A handsome lobby is lined in walnut bookcases with banker-chic tufted leather sofa and casual reception area manned by buttoned-up staff. A series of adjoining rooms lead to a more casual fireplace lounge and patio with deck captured in a teak-lined garden. Meals are taken in a communal Breakfast Lounge off the main lobby with lounge-style seating area and formal dining room on a first-come basis. On the roof is a solarium, outdoors in lieu of glass-wrapped, with small tanning area and Jacuzzi usually enjoyed without other guests present.
The Room
Guest areas of the historic mansion have been meticulously converted into rooms and suites named after various Latin American icons. Their second hotel in Argentina, the first was in Salta, Legato Mitico’s rooms are named famous Argentines like stage star Tita Merello, writer Jorge Luis Borges and Che Guevara. Spaces feature antique furnishings and concrete fireplaces mounted with original artwork. Period details like original wood floors and iron windows that overlook a residential urban setting.
