One of the largest hotel developments in years within the central village of St. Tropez, Hotel de Paris is an ambitious luxury design hotel with interiors by Sybille de Margerie who also penned the Mandarin Oriental in Paris as well as the Cheval Blanc in Courchevel. A regal façade dates back to the 1930s, marked by covered porticos and glass doors that open to a sprawling two-story lobby lined in rustic wood floors and wide-plank marble. Exquisite design details include custom décor by de Margerie mixed with modern design elements, sculptural pieces and custom artwork designed specifically for the property. Just atop the atrium is a glass-bottom pool as well as its own rooftop bar with all-season cocktail and sushi menu. The in-house spa by Clarins offers treatment rooms, full sauna and fitness center. In terms of dining, a stylish lobby bar compliments two restaurants that include La Pationata. Immediately one of the best addresses in the village, Hotel De Paris brings some much-needed competition to the longtime stalwarts of St. Tropez hospitality.
The Room
With mostly village views on lower floors and harbor views in select suites, a total of 90-accomadations include Classic rooms with bold double windows, geometric pattern drapery and custom lighting fixtures that add an element of old world grandeur. Larger suites offer separate living and bedrooms with design elements that lend touches of 50s Italian and 60s Parisian design. Terrace and Sky Suites are the best in the house with private outdoor spaces that include views of the nearby harbor and Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
