Luxury Hotel
Although it’s walking distance to landmarks like Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral, Four Seasons Moscow attracts a gilded set of Russian and international clientele that would likely never dream of traversing the city by foot. It occupies the former Hotel Moskva along Manezh Square, an iconic property built under Stalin by architect Alexei Shchusev with a design that married two classical exterior styles into one address frequented by Gagarin and 1950s Russian elite. Demolished and then essentially rebuilt from scratch, Four Seasons Moscow sits under a glass-topped atrium with a contemporary spin on the building’s historic interiors that are now home to formal Italian eatery Quadrum as well as Moskovsky Bar that’s located on street level. A 7th floor rooftop lounge hopes to compete with the Ritz Carlton’s Sky Lounge with seasonal pop-up lounge and summertime party scene. Forthcoming Amnis Spa is located on the upper floors of the hotel with a massive complex of indoor pool, treatment rooms, fitness center and salon located under a rectangular glass roof. In terms of guest perks, look for a fleet of 7-series BMWs to whisk you away to the Garage Contemporary, Bolshoi or any address in central Moscow.
