Bodega Garzon is a destination winery and farm with tasting room, restaurant by Francis Mallmann, and cigar lounge penned by architect Carlos Hartmann. Its starry restaurant features an open air dining room with large terraces and architectural fire pits that rotate various sizzling meats to ogling guests. More beautiful by day but more dramatic by night, views overlook the rolling fields and streams of Garzon in what many consider the most ambitious South American agriculture development of the last decade.
The Food
The menu offers market suggestions, including traditional baked seafood dishes with seasonal ingredients accompanied by local wines and ingredients from Colinas de Garzon. Look for empanada mendocina cooked in a clay oven, slow-cooked sweetbread on the grill, iron-cooked prawns with grilled polenta and slow-cooked ribeye on the bone or lamb steak with spiced-carrots and quinoa salad.
